Local beaches

Praia da Batata, Praia dos Estudantes, Praia do Pinhão, Praia Dona Ana, Praia de Porto de Mós, Praia do Camilo, Praia do Canavial, Praia da Luz, to Praia dos Pinheiros, each offers a unique experience. Generally dogs are not allowed on any of the local beaches, however the unwritten local rule is that it’s okay to take your dog to the larger beaches before 9am and after 7pm, when lifeguards aren’t on duty.

Meia Praia

The most dog-friendly beach in Lagos, fine throughout the day, especially towards the left end where there is no lifeguards.

Parque Biossdaudável

Open green space where many locals let their dogs run off-lead, especially mornings and evenings.

Cliff walks & trails
