Before you arrive

Self check-in: you will get two codes one hour before check-in, one for the building keypad and one for the lockbox at the apartment door. If you would prefer an 🧑 in-person check-in instead of 🔐 self check-in, just let us know.
Getting in
🚗 Parking
Free street parking right next to the building. There is also a parking area directly behind the building, shown below. It gets busier in the evenings but there is usually a spot. There is no guest garage.
Arriving by car from the A22: take Exit 1, Lagos Este / N125, follow the N125 towards Lagos, then search “Hill View by Octopus Oasis” in Google Maps for the final stretch.
🔒 Entrance
Look for LOTE 24 above the glass doors. The keypad is on the wall to the right of the doors, below the intercom panel. Enter your building code there.
Once inside, walk past the wooden wall. Our door is the one at the end, on the ground floor, right (RC D), with the octopus door knocker and the AL plaque beside it.
The lockbox is on the left of the door, just below the AL plaque. Your keys are inside.

Quiet hours
9:00 PM – 8:00 AM. This is a residential building, so please keep noise low in the stairwell and at night.
Pets are welcome
We love pets and will provide bed & biscuits if you let us know.
Not allowed
Parties, events, smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes.
Check-out
11:00 AM. Turn all appliances off, close the windows, and leave the keys in the lockbox where you found them. Please text us to confirm the check-out.

Hungry?
Restaurante Com Sabor is literally across the road, wonderful Portuguese kitchen and the duck is our favourite. Sunrays Kitchen is five minutes away for breakfast and brunch, closed Mondays. illicit Burgers Poolside is on the walk down to the beach.
Groceries
SuperEureka is a five minute walk, open daily 8 AM to 8 PM. For a big shop, Continente. Also Pingo Doce, Lidl and Aldi.
Recycling
The bins are less than a minute from the door: green containers for general waste, grey domes for recycling. Exact spot on Google Maps.
Beach
Praia do Porto de Mós is your closest, about 1.1 km, roughly a 20 minute walk downhill. Worth knowing: the walk back is uphill.
Getting around
The Old Town centre is about 20 minutes on foot. Lagos train station is 30 to 35 minutes walking or around €7 by Uber or Bolt; the bus station is 25 minutes walking or around €6.
Keeping cool
There is no air conditioning, and you will not miss it. There are powerful ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom, plus one in the bathroom.
Extra fees
Lost keys €75. Early check-in or late check-out €30.

We cannot store luggage securely, but we recommend our partner Bounce.
