🏖 Beaches

Porto de Mós ⭐ Best for slightly older kids At low tide, small rock pools form — perfect for kids to splash and dig. Praia da Batata Closest beach to Old Town, sheltered from swells — easy 10 minute walk from the centre. Olá Daniela Small, gets busy in summer, but convenient if you just want an hour at the beach.
Praia Dona Ana Beautiful, calm water, great for snorkelling. Worth it for older kids — but it’s ~100 steps down. Hard work with a pram or a tired toddler on the way back up.
Praia da Luz (10 min drive) Calm beach with rock pools for kids to explore, small village atmosphere. Resortrentalsalgarve Easier and less hectic than the town beaches.
Cobblestone warning: Old Town is beautiful but rough underfoot. A lightweight umbrella stroller handles it better than a big pram.
