Hold the little safety button until the red light goes off, and you are ready to cook.

In the green room the big window slides left and right. The living room window on the right tilts for a bit of fresh air.

The strap is on the right of the window, tucked behind the curtain. A gentle, steady pull does it.

Power button to switch it on, + and – for a cosier temperature, Mode to change the setting.

Drawer 1 is for pre-wash, 2 for the main wash, and the middle one for softener.

Old Town houses love fresh air: open a window for a while each day and let the dehumidifier run a few hours. The dryer is best for clothes, rather than the bathroom heater.

Leave a closed bag across the street by the road sign after 9 PM. Recycling is a minute away, on the square by Churrasqueira Praça d’Armas.

Turn right and in a minute you are at Praça d’Armas, with food and the Old Town all around you.

Switch things off, pop the keys back in the lockbox and tap the CHECK OUT sticker. Safe travels!
